THROUGHLINES
In this series, I explore the idea of paths and how they weave through the landscapes of our lives. As I paint, I’m drawn to compositions that unfold like quilts, made of patchwork pieces that don’t always align. Each fragment of color feels like a moment or memory, the meaning of which becomes clear only as part of the whole.
These imagined landscapes rarely offer a single, clear throughline. Paths bend, cross, and fade, echoing the unpredictable nature of a life shaped by change and loss. For me, painting becomes a way of finding beauty amid the breaks—an act of piecing together what remains, and discovering new forms of wholeness along the way.
